I am an Animal Behavior College certified dog trainer. I use force and compulsion free training, as it is scientifically proven to work better for both animals and kids. I have trained detection dogs (search and rescue to cancer), rehabbed countless rescues and also teach basic and advanced obedience, CGC test prep, behavior modification, as well as working with fear/aggression issues. I work with the owners to develop a program that is realistic for them so that we can improve their relationship with their dog. I follow up meetings with e-mails that recap it and provide videos and links to further their understanding of our discussion. I am quite aware that I am not the perfect dog trainer for everyone nor for every dog and, as I want us all to succeed, I am more than happy to suggest other trainers/options if needed. I am also able to work within a smaller budget than many private trainers; so please don't put off getting help, as dogs and problems do tend to grow! I am happy to provide both a resume and references as well as discuss any other concerns/needs you may have; so feel free to get in touch. I am also happy to provide a group class, should you have friends/space to do so, or we can brave the outdoors! Sliding scale/payment plans and options can be discussed in certain cases.
