FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is very affordable in comparison to many professionals. I start at $45 and most professionals start around $60. I'm willing to offer a free first 30 minute virtual lesson, so students can get a taste of what is like to study with me before they decide to commit long term.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My priorities in the first lesson with students is to get to know the student, both as a musician and as a person. I believe it is beneficial to understand my students' musical background and interest, and also learn about the student's life experiences. This allows me to get to know how to approach the student in future lessons. After that, I assign students exercises to work on in their routine practice. I work to train the student's with a keen sense of musical discipline, and inform them with the most efficient and rewarding ways of becoming a better musician.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am current undergraduate music education student at Temple University where I have had the pleasure of studying under esteemed scholars in the music education field, such as Dr. Rollo Dilworth and Dr. Alison Reynolds. I am especially privileged to study under the tutelage of Philadelphia saxophonist and composer, Matthew Levy, founder of the renowned PRISM Quartet. I have also taken classes from famous American jazz saxophonist Dick Oatts. At Temple, I received masterclasses from world class saxophone virtuoso Timothy McAllister, Northwestern University Professor Taimur Sullivan, and UMKC Conservatory Professor Zachary Shemon.
