FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I don't believe it is necessarily complicated. As a makeup artist I am constantly maintaining and updating my kit to meet the needs of my clients. You also have to appreciate travel time for the client's convenience. I have taken the time to receive much education in the field of esthetics and makeup. I believe I am very reasonable.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to get to know my client. , For example: What look are they trying to achieve for their event? What do they usually use on their skin? What are you comfortable wearing makeup wise? Is there anything your skin is sensitive to? Once I get information I set a goal for the client on what makeup look will best suit them in what they are looking for.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a PA licensed Esthetician. I also attended the Philadelphia Academy of Makeup and Special Effects where I received additional certifications in Beauty and Special Effects makeup. I currently am a makeup instructor at a modeling/acting school and I also assist the photographers during photoshoots. I feel it is extremely important to be educated in this industry for the wellness of your client and the outcome of your session. It is an important thing to keep yourself open to new concepts and educated, especially being part of an industry that is always growing.
