The ability that he possesses by keeping the crowd engaged and his video and light show surpasses any other that I've seen. He always has whatever song that is requested. I gave my wife a surprise birthday party and hired DJ Silk. He far exceeded my expectations, actually taking the birthday event to another level. He had every song that was requested by the guest. He kept the party moving with his song selection and sequencing of the music. The "wow" factor was the video streaming and light show that is an integral part of the production. What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes. My advice for a long DJ career is to stay up on technology and new music because today's music is tomorrow's old-school.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I personally would go out and hear DJs who played crappy music and being the music lover that I am, I thought "I can do a better job than this guy." Almost 30 years later, I'm still doing it at the top of my game.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I'm a mixologist. I'm still a bar and club DJ/VJ and I average 5 nights a week.
