FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Unlike civil attorneys, criminal defense attorneys work on a flat fee basis not by the hour. This benefits my clients as the nature of the criminal justice system makes it difficult to predict how long a case will take, thus, making "by the hour" fees very unpredictable. My clients know up front exactly what Legal Representation will cost. I am also will to work out payment plans for Legal Fees when a client is not in a financial position to pay the full fee up front.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My Legal Representation is tailored to each individual client so in our initial consultation I gather not only the facts of his/her case but the particulars of his/her life situation. A Nurse, who is licensed by the State, may have different needs than a business person who is self employed. A working single parent may have very different needs than a full time student. I am always striving to reach the best possible outcome for that particular client. I practice "information based" legal representation. I don't just tell my clients what to do - instead I make sure that they understand PA DUI Law, the criminal justice system and ALL of their options. This allows them to make informed decisions about how to proceed with their cases.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I spent nearly a decade as a DUI Prosecutor. During that time I received advanced training in prosecuting DUI's and Vehicular Homicides. In the 11 years that I have been handling exclusively DUI defense I have attended dozens of advanced DUI training seminars and, in fact, have taught several classes instructing other attorneys in DUI defense.
