FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Most arrangements are done at no cost. If there is extensive planning, I do charge a non-refundable fee depending on how difficult or how long it will take. Airlines don't pay commission, so I do charge $25 per person domestic and $100 per person international above and beyond any other arrangements.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I interview the lead person to get detailed information about what type of trip they are looking to take along with getting some personal information about each traveler. I let the traveler interview me to see if they are comfortable with me handling their travel plans. I feel it is important to make sure we are comfortable with each other to build a trusting relationship.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
The world is a constantly changing place, so I am constantly taking classes and doing research both for destinations and from the various vendors that I use for travel arrangements. I do this either at seminars on site or online. I also go to conventions that have classes for business management as well as "how to" classes about resources available to do our business better. I probably average at lease one webinar a week.
