FAQs
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I do mostly birthday parties with face painting. Henna is usually private appointments or special event. I do a lot of bar and bhat mitzvahs!
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Know what to look for. Black Henna contains PPD (an ingredient in hair dye) that is unsafe for use on the skin. Though it may leave a fast dark stain, it can also cause permanent sensitivity or scarring. Face Paint cannot be FDA approved. The FDA does not approve any cosmetics. At best the products can claim to be FDA "Compliant". Non-toxic only means NOT POISON. Just because something is not poison does not mean it's safe for use on your child's sensitive face. Professionals should all carry their own liability insurance. ASK for proof of insurance. If it cant be provided your setting yourself up for problems with a non-professional.
