My husband and I hired Scott Ferguson with some apprehension, as we were first-time homebuyers and have not been through this process before, and so we had no idea what to expect. His estimate, obtained through the website, was about $100 to $150 cheaper than other inspectors, which we thought was maybe a red flag. However, he is NACHI-certified so we decided to go for it. At the end of the day, I couldn't be more pleased with his service. He was professional, competent, and extremely pleasant. He went over the home thoroughly and took the time to explain everything he was doing every step of the way. I would definitely use his services again and recommend him to others.

Scott was very friendly and very knowledgeable during our inspection. He walked us through the whole house and showed us anything that could become an issue, and things that were nothing to be concerned with. He was quick and again, very through in his inspection. I highly recommended him for anyone looking to move into their new home with a solid piece of mind.

This was my first home inspection and Scott was very patient with my Fiance and I throughout the whole thing. He answered any question we had also gave us Ideas on how to improve/ sustain our soon to be home down the line. The experience couldn't have been better. Scott was a pleasure to work with. I called him on a Saturday afternoon and he made himself available to do our inspection Sunday morning! He went room through room and explained to us in detail what he found. We had our inspection report with pictures documenting all his findings by Sunday evening. The inspection we had done by FYI was for insurance purposes, it was in regards to damage done to our home due to ice forming and causing a pretty substantial leak. The inspector Scott was available at our convenience. He thoroughly inspected the damages and gave us a detailed report which we gave to our ins company. I am required to participate in NACHI's continuing education program. This is a great program that is constantly updated. I take on average, 2 classes per month.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have been in the contracting business for over 20 years. Home inspection comes natural to me.
