About this pro
Tom was both responsive to and flexible with me regarding my project. Because I ended up providing the paint for the job (the cost of which had been included in his estimate), he graciously helped me with a small repair job unrelated to the project he was hired for, and called it square. He was thoughtful about what it would take to get the job done, beyond simply constructing the shelves he was contracted for—ensuring we'd be able to get the pre-built shelves up our narrow staircase before committing to build them in one piece; noting where trim would have to be altered, finding out of we had remnants of that trim on-hand to complete the job with (fortunately, we did) rather than just assuming we didn't and purchasing new as-close-as-he-could-find-to-matching materials; adding a central row of shelf supports at my request when I expressed concern about the potential bowing of the long, thin shelves over time due to the weight I expected the shelves to carry; working carefully within a somewhat confined space to avoid causing peripheral damage. The installation was prompt and professional. I'm no expert in the average price of hiring a personal contractor for a small job, but his price seemed fair, and workmanship commendable.May 17, 2017Verified
Tom did a great job. He was pleasant, arrived on time and cleaned up each day. I would use his services again, and would recommend him to others needing carpentry work done.Feb 28, 2017Verified
