After years of not working out and just taking care of the kids it was time to take care of me! Andrea (owner) and Platinum Pilates has made getting into shape easy. The convenient location is the West Chester Borough with easy parking made it easy to pull up and run in with out the hassle of a mega gym. I could feel the relief in my body after completing her introductory reformer sessions (4 sessions). I continued my membership with TRX classes and occasionally revisit the reformer. My trips to the chiropractor have been cut in half since joining Platinum Pilates and the strength I've gained has improved my running tremendously. The personalized instruction can't be matched. Highly recommend!

I’m a 54 year old woman who has exercised since my 20s. The things I have done in the past are: running, aerobics, bike riding, martial arts, yoga, weights, volleyball, and dance. These activities have helped to maintain my weight but nothing has compared to the Pilates instruction I receive from Andrea. I see a leaner form from Pilates. This is the only exercise I have done that has taken inches off my inner thighs. I stand straighter – which feels terrific after sitting at a desk all day. Andrea pays attention to each movement I am making and adjusts me appropriately. I can feel the difference in the movement once adjusted. I was also amazed I am not sore the next day. I am able to do other activities I like. Andrea has kept my sessions interesting. She adds to them each time, adapting to my new strength. Andrea was also helpful in finding me a duet partner so I can come twice as often. If you can’t tell from what I wrote – I definitely recommend Platinum Pilates and Andrea.

Why is Pilates so important to me and my health? In 2010, I injured my lower back playing golf. Yes, you can be injured playing golf! Initially, I treated it as simple muscle spasm. After 3 weeks still no improvement. It turns out that one of my lumbar vertebrae was stuck. Fortunately, no herniated disc or slipped disc. After several visits to my chiropractor as well as adding extensive stretching and aqua exercises in my workout routine I was able to walk again without any pain. Life became normal again but I wasn’t 100% mended. No matter how much stretching or workout I did my body always felt tight. My body was speaking to me but I wasn’t listening to my body. Eventually this tightness started causing throbbing pain in my upper back. I still couldn’t nail down the root cause of my issues. It was suggested that I try Pilates. At first I was skeptical. Pilates? I’m a MAN who plays golf. But I was ready to try anything that will fix my back issue as well muscle tightness. Within first 3 to 4 months working with Andrea, my back pain was gone and my back began to loosen up. Yes it took that long to learn the basics of the exercise. I began to connect my mind, my muscles and my whole body. After 9 months, I feel more flexible, stronger core and stronger back. BTW my golf game definitely improved.   Pilates enhances the everyday activities of your lives – whether it’s bending over to pick up your kids. Or biking hundreds of miles for a great cause. Or even a quick round of golf. I would highly recommend Pilates to anyone irrespective of age, shape, or gender. Just remember the 3-C’s when you do – Concentration, Control, and Centering. Who knows, maybe you too could look like me!

I have taken mat pilates classes and also received private sessions with Andrea. The classes were fun and engaging, and the private sessions were wonderfully personalized to my specific needs. I have enjoyed all of them! Andrea is an excellent instructor. I won't go anywhere else for my pilates!

I started personal Pilates Training with Andrea in September 2013! Andrea has taught me hot to strengthen my core and whole being! In fact, I feel like a renewed woman when I walk out of her studio because her one on one sessions are tailored for me. In January 2014 I started taking the TRX classes to take my fitness to a new level. Through these classes I have built up my stamina and strengthened my core even more! You will not look back after signing up for any sessions at Platinum Pilates Studio!
