FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is usually case by case but I typically do my freelance hourly pay rate.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First, I like to find out the type of project I am dealing with and a time frame of how long I have. If I feel I can dedicate the right amount of time and energy to it, I will then give the client a better idea of how I will start. To keep it brief, I would more than likely (depending on the case) give 1-3 design directions to start and go from there. I would more than likely have a contract for my process depending on the size of the project and how I am being compensated for my work.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelors of Fine Art Degree from Kutztown University in Communication Design with concentrations in Graphic and Advertising design.I also have minors in Professional Writing and in Public Relations. During that time I was highly involved with on campus organizations and have interned with the Walt Disney Company as well as Crayola where I spent 9 weeks as an intern. I have done much freelance in that time and volunteer work as well for graphic design. My current job as a package designer for a toy company has prepared me in more ways than I can describe to not only execute great designs in minimal time, but to make it as cost effective as the client should need. Not everyone has the knowledge of print design and have become more modernized in a digital age. Although that is a great thing to be up in knowledge on, print will never go away. Therefore, having the knowledge of how long something will take, materials and cost is extremely crucial to executing amazing designs and how they will look as an end product printed depending on the materials chosen.
