FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Private Pay Discounted Rates: Individual - $95/hour Groups (2 - 15 individuals) - $125/hour We also accept some insurance, and can check coverage upon request. Discounts are offered for consecutive/back-to-back hours in the same location, even if different clients.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Our initial contact will be focused on what you're looking to accomplish through music therapy, whether it be for yourself or someone else. Once we determine that music therapy is a good fit, we will review payment options (including checking insurance coverage). We will then assign a music therapist to you, who will give you a call to discuss the needs and interests of the individual or group seeking services. If appropriate, they will schedule an interview session at a time and location convenient for you. During the interview session the therapist will assess the individual's strengths and weaknesses, and begin creating goals. A staff member will also attend the interview session, and function to observe, and review details of our services with the client's caregiver/guardian. Following the interview session, we will schedule future sessions on a timeline that works best for the client, typically one hour sessions once per week but it can be adjusted to fit your schedule and needs.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
All of our therapists have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in music therapy, and all are board certified by the CBMT (certification board for music therapists). Some of our therapists may have additional training in a certain area, or a special focus.
