Tim both picked up and then delivered my big old Apple desktop computer exactly on time. It was completely dead and he fixed it, hooked up a new external hard drive and then gave me a tutorial when he delivered it back. The charges were incredibly reasonable!!! I will never use anyone else for my computer issues!!!Mar 21, 2018
I would recommend Glospey Computers to anyone who needs work on their computers.Feb 16, 2018

- How did you get started doing this type of work?I have always been fascinated by technology so I learned all I could from various sources, including experimentation (with my own equipment). Eventually, I learned enough to feel comfortable helping friends and family. I started getting referrals and heard enough horror stories about other computer shops that I decided to open my own doors.
- What types of customers have you worked with?Virus cleanings are by far the most common job I have. Hardware diagnostics and repair would be the next most common. Finally, consultation and new equipment setup.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?Ask about their fee structure. Some shops have lower hourly rates than Glospey Computers but many of them charge for everything. Their clock typically starts when they leave their office, includes failed attempts to fix your problems, and includes research. Sometimes, the clock continues until they return to their office. At Glospey Computers, the clock starts when we get to the job site and stops when we leave. If there were failed attempts to fix a problem, this time is discounted. Research is done on a case-by-case basis, depending on our recommendation vs. client desires. Some other shops will quote exactly what the client asks for but the transaction usually requires additional steps that the shop charges for, resulting in an unexpectedly large bill. At Glospey Computers, all in-shop work is charged at a flat rate. Any additional charges (such as expedited services or server work) are discussed before any commitment to the work is started. Finally, at Glospey Computers, we do not order any parts until we can talk to a client about the exact price of the repair. A client is not obligated to do the repair until they agree to this price. If they decline the repair, they pay a modest diagnostic fee.
