What types of customers have you worked with?
OCEANUS Corp (previously DCOI, LLC), has been servicing clients in the oil and gas industries since 2008. Originally started as an Electrical Engineering, Consulting, and Construction firm in Colorado, DCOI became involved with the design and construction of many natural gas, oil refinery, ethanol, and oil shale projects throughout the region. From client requests, we added welding to our list of services to compliment our already successful industrial electricians. As our welding department grew, we saw an obvious need to break into the underwater welding and burning arena with our commercial diving group. This way our oil and gas clients were able to utilize DCOI in both their topside, and underwater needs. Now known as OCEANUS, we still continue to provide the top quality services we have been known for over the years, as well as being able to cater to both marine, and inland projects.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Clients for the diving and welding trades need to find a contractor that is balanced not only in experience, but also in ability. Too many contractors out there boast of years of experience in the trade, but without common sense, quality workmanship, or operating in a professional manner, you're left with nothing but that... A lot of time in the trade. Even though Oceanus has only been operating since 2007, we decided in the very beginning to choose "quality over quantity". We have chosen to remain a "small business" so we can continue to provide the highest quality service to our clients, at the most affordable rates available.
