- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We don't have a standard pricing system. Each job usually has a unique set of challenges. If we did all new construction than it would be much easier to go by the board count but with Thumbtack that typically is not the case.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We will submit a quote through Thumbtack and 90% of the time we will follow up with an in person inspection of the job site. After the final in person inspection we will almost always give a firm fixed price to complete the job. If accepted, we will write up a contract if desired by the customer, and set the start date. Once the job is complete we typically give up to one month to provide payment. We accept checks, credit cards and direct deposit for the customers convenience.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
This has been a family business since about 1998. My grandfather was an electrician and his sons (the original Roy Brothers) started out in general construction and shifted to drywall at about that time.
