Hilary did a two hour photo shoot of my family--me, my husband, a 6 and an 11 year old--at a beach near our house. While she suggested a few specific locations for some group shots, I was suprised at how unobtrusive she was as a photographer. We mostly just explored and played at the beach for awhile while Hilary took over 500 photos. I think her approach created an atmposphere where none of us felt self-conscious and that allowed our family's relationships and spirit to emerge. This is what she captured during the photo shoot. It was around July 4th, so she also brought some sparklers and flags for us to use as props . I especially liked some of the non-traditional shots that she included---a shoe in the sand, a foot with some seaweed on it, two hands passing a crab to each other--that provided artistic accents to the collection of photos. Hilary reviewed with me the 50 photos I selected from the 500 and together we formatted them into a photo album. I also chose 5 of the pictures to enlarge to hang in our hallway. Hilary came to our house to look at the hallway and consult with us about what would be the best sizes and configuration of the photos to hang in the spot we had chosen. When the prints were ready, she spent some time helping us arrange them on the wall. Hilary put in alot of time in helping us to transform the proofs into the finished products. She clearly wanted us to be completely satisfied, and I was impressed with her overall conscientiousness and excellent service.

Hilary is an amazing phototographer. I was impressed with how well she engaged our children. She made something they thought was a chore into a fun night. When it was time to pick which photos to enlarge, she was patient and helpful. She helped me measure the space and pick the right prints for it. Hilary understands that portraits are an investment, and she puts all her effort into it.

Hilary is a dedicated and very patient photographer. She takes very nice photos and captures almost every intimate moments that a family shares. She asks for a very reasonable price and is very fast on responding to her customers.
