FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
At Providence Massage our prices are reasonable for the East Side and greater Providence in general. We offer a discount for first time visitors and a no-nonsense membership program for those who come in every month. We have one Membership program for Students and one for the general public.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Upon arrival at our office you will be greeted in our private waiting area and introduced to our office setting and your Licensed Massage Therapist. We have private restrooms and refreshments. After completing your Wellness Chart and Preferences checklist, your Therapist will show you into the treatment room where you will discuss your information, massage background and experience, and why you have joined us today for treatment. Once an agreement is made on how you would like your session, your Therapist will give you instructions for preparation, leave the room while you get ready, then return a few minutes later. Once the session is completed, your Therapist will exit the room and you may collect yourself, redress, and exit into the waiting area. Any post session treatment discussions will be held in the session room and not in public areas.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
All our Therapists have formal Massage Therapy & Bodywork diplomas from the best school in New England. In Rhode Island, we must pass a license exam and background checks. Each of us has additional training in other modalities such as Pre-Natal, Myofascial Release, Trigger Point Release, Deep Tissue, and several different relaxation techniques and styles.
