Introduction: With a career in professional dance education, performance and extensive knowledge in exercise and kinesiology, Meghan has the unique ability to provide her clients with an individually structured program, allowing them to reach their greatest potential. Meghan has Bachelor degrees in Dance and Performance Studies from Roger Williams University in Rhode Island where she received the Highest Achievement Award for Dance. After college, Meghan danced professionally throughout the Providence area. Meghan has the privilege of teaching the many talented students at Seaside Dance and Gymnastics Center in Westerly Rhode Island. Meghan continues her education through the worldwide leading educator of classical Pilates, Power Pilates, NYC. Through Power Pilates, Meghan is completing over 700 hours of training and apprenticeship. Attending workshops on a regular basis, Meghan stays current with the newest trends and developments in the fields of Pilates and general fitness. Her sessions emphasize building powerful core strength from the inside out, creating perfect postural alignment, and finding present time consciousness through the continuous flow of movement. The most amazing and rewarding part of instructing Pilates, is watching your client's body change. The strength, flexibility, overall confidence that happens in just a few sessions is always inspirational.

I had the good fortune of taking a private mat class from Meghan while visiting friends in Rhode Island. Meghan is specific and professional, but a lot of fun to be around! Her class was extremely challenging, but she was right there with me every step of the way. I was so impressed with her knowledge and charisma; I wish she was right next door! I would highly recommend MMyPilates. Meghan is amazing!

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

    Make sure they are certified! A pilates certification can be handed out in a weekend intensive. Insist that your trainer has undergone at least 600 hours of training, and has knowledge in kinesiology and anatomy. Also, ask for references.
