Hi! My name is Kala I am the Owner and operator at KneadingKala Massage Therapy.I specialize in therapeutic massage, including relaxation massage, trigger point release and deep tissue. Massage Therapy became my passion about 3 years after I obtained my bodyworks license. I have been licensed and working as an LMT for 7 years. I was in a pretty bad car accident where I fractured most of my T-Spine and had to get a spinal fusion. Lets just say every massage is from a deeper part of me that understands the pain and discomfort that brought you in to my massage room and onto my table. My focus is quality. My passion is helping others to feel relief of pain and strain and to help relax a part of them that may stress them everyday. I am pretty flexible with scheduling as I offer home calls where I will bring my table, linens, lotions, and stones to you, all you need is a little bit of space to set up the table. Home calls range from $70 an hour and $100 for 90 minutes depending on traveling distance. I listen to your body and respond accordingly. You can assure that you'll be the main focus during the entire session. I give my clients a space to feel safe and comfortable while inviting them to be absolutely relaxed. I also offer in-office services where you schedule a session and come to KneadingKala's massage room. Services start at $55 for an hour. What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When working with a new customer, it is my number one priority to invite them to be as open and relaxed as possible. I listen to them and I ask question. I allow my new clients to be as open as possible with me about their massage goals and I tend to them accordingly. Every client is different and has a different goal in mind when they enter the massage room.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I got started in the Massage business when I was going to college for Physical Therapy. I had know knowledge of this profession before I went to school for it and when I finally graduated with my LMT license in 2014, I knew then that I would develop such a passion for the skill. I've always been intersted in how muscles work in the body and how they play such a major role in our everyday lives.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I've worked with customers ranging from young to old (16-90). I've worked with a wide rang of ethnicities. Specializing in prenatal massage, I've worked with pregnant clients. I love working with athletes and sports professionals. I've also worked with pre and post op clients. Corporate office personel.
