FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge per hour for tutoring sessions. Pay is expected each time the child is here. If you don't come, I don't charge. I just stress the importance of calling and letting me know. Someone else may want to come in that spot and it's just the right thing to do. I, also, will let the client/customer know if I can't be here on their appointed time.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically a potential client/customer will call me, and we will discuss their needs and the services that I provide. I always emphasise to the potential client/customer that the needs of the child are the priority. If they aren't satisfied, please feel free to stop at any time. Everyone can't help everyone, but I'd be honored to try.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have personally homeschooled my own three children for 23 years. Each have graduated high school, two have completed college and my youngest is currently enrolled in her first year of college to pursue a degree in nursing. I have privately tutored for 18 years and have had wonderful success with the children that I've been allowed the privilege to work with. Teaching is my passion, and I hope to encourage the child that everyone can learn; it just sometimes takes a little extra time. :)
