Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: My ability to put clients at ease is apparent in the images I capture. As your photographer, it's my job to make sure you feel relaxed and comfortable. Getting to know my clients and offering suggestions & guidance during the shoot guarantees that I have a perfect mixture of composed images along with unexpected candid shots. My favorite thing about my job is being able to capture my clients personalities and family stories. Whether it's snapping your child's genuine smile (instead of the forced "Say Cheese" grimace) or sneaking shots of your reticent husband when he finally grins-I love when I'm able to make a client open up to the camera.

Maryanne assisted me with a personal headshot project. The job took no longer than an hour as agreed upon, but she was very flexible with scheduling, as well as location. The best things about working with this professional was that-she was a professional! She knew her work, and was able to convey her skills and best tips for the perfect photo. She is very easy to work with, and very open to new ideas. She has a great portfolio and is great at her job. I appreciated her promptness, and the use of two different cameras, and advice throughout the shoot. In addition, she is a very personable individual. She is definitely a photographer I would recommend. The only thing that could be in more of Maryanne's favor is having an assistant of some sort, however that is at the photographer's own discretion and would most likely increase product and work cost. All in all, I was really pleased for this as my first thumbtack project!

FAQs

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have a strong commitment to constantly learning & improving my skill set so that I can better serve my clients. Owning my business allows me the flexibility to attend workshops and seminars several times throughout the year and complete 60 hours of training & continuing education every quarter.

  • What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

The one thing that I wish I could tell customers who are considering purchasing a photography session is: "Don't Wait." Too often, I have clients that are waiting for the "perfect moment" to have family portraits taken. In the fantasy, "someday" happens at the same time as a magical convergence of the following events: 1) Your husband doesn't ask YOU where his blue shirt is (spoiler: it's directly in front of him, hanging in the closet). 2) It doesn't take 30 minutes to walk 15 feet out the front door with a toddler. 3) You lost five pounds overnight by eating a "dessert inspired" fruit salad for dinner (aka a big glass of wine & some chocolate). 3a) Also, your closet is now filled with every outfit you've coveted on Pinterest. 3b)Plus, a wall of shoes that Carrie Bradshaw would kill for. 4) Your personal assistant has run all your errands, cleaned the house, and took your pet Unicorn out for a walk. Although I CAN'T make any of the above come true, I can provide gorgeous, authentic images that *perfectly* capture this time in your life.
