I’m your typical grad student who enjoys capturing the laughter and love between those you hold dearly. Frilly coffee, half-priced appetizers, and dogs are the way to my heart! It’s not even about the art of photography; I enjoy getting to know my clients, making them feel confident and beautiful, and giving them something to always look back to and smile.
I currently am pursuing my doctorate degree and am working on the Labor and Delivery unit at a local hospital. On top of that, I’m also in the Air Force! Photography has been a huge passion that that carried through my success and journey thus far.
Don’t worry about posing or being camera shy! I purposely shoot outdoors or venues with lots of natural light because photos taken out of a studio are the most fun, natural, and you can be yourself!
In addition to photography, I'm currently obtaining my doctorate degree at Presbyterian College and am serving in the United States Air Force. In my free time, I like to hang out with my dog Samson, binge watch Netflix, and edit pictures!
My services are purposely budget friendly because I want everyone to be able to fill their homes with vibrant photographs and reminisce on the best days. I hope you relive the same feelings you felt the very day we took our pictures. I can’t wait to work with you and capture your greatest memories!

Val has been awesome to work with as we plan our upcoming wedding! We originally booked Val for a micro-wedding but our plans changed and she was able to accommodate a different wedding date, size, and venue. She was great! Was well prepared with sample poses so you knew exactly how to stand and it made things move really fast and gave us lots of options of great back drops! What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I am very straight forward with my prices and all of my packages are customizable. I do free engagement shoots with a booking (and deposit) of a wedding session.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I ask them what they are looking for, discuss the details, give them a quote, and then take a 50% deposit and a signed contract to secure and book their date.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
Photography has always interested me. I have taken photography classes in high school and in college. The thought of being able to capture something and physically hold onto it forever was so special to me. I want to be able to do that for my clients.
