My name is Carissa and I’m a local photographer in Greenville, SC. My favorite thing about photography is getting to know people and making their stories shine on camera. I also have good technical skills and have been editing in Photoshop and Lightroom for a number of years. Whether it’s a birthday, a business, or a wedding, I will be happy to work with you and help your vision come to life.
Currently offering 20% any portrait session for customers who offer my information to relatives/friends who book me.
I work 90% with natural/available light. This requires wide open spaces or big windows if we are going to shoot indoors. I will need advanced notice to acquire lighting equipment for dark settings. Please add that in your quote if you’re interested. Thank you for the heads up!

Our experience with this lovely lady was beyond great! She showed on time and had some great life hacks to help us get ready etc. I don’t think the experience would have been the same without all her help, she acted more like a family member then a paid person of business. That being said she was great telling what to do and how to do it as me and my husbands are both introverted. However she was never pushy and said multiple times she doesn’t want to leave till the job is done! She prefers if you know what you want before hand BUT is great at giving direction. I got my first preview photo and it looks like a $1500 photographer took it instead of what we paid her! Which we are very great full. She took so many pictures that we couldn’t keep up with her, so if your looking for quality, punctuality, value, and overall good pictures. She is the one!

Carissa is very funny and friendly!
She was very creative with different kinds of poses for a good picture. We had a lot of fun working with her.
After the shoot she was very proactive on communicating the expected delivery date of the album. She first told us an expected date as we finish the shoot, and later texted me every 2-3 days to communicate the process is on time.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I currently charge extra to travel longer distances although that won’t always be the case. I work heavily in the downtown Greenville area.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I will always ask you about your vision and your interests and see how I can make that come to life in your session. If I can meet you for coffee to visualize goals and create a plan before a large session or event, like an engagement or a wedding, I prefer to do that.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started doing photography as a backstage employee at one of the local theatres in Greenville. I learned on the go and enjoyed the job because it was watching art being created, moment by moment. That is still one of the main reasons I love photography: creating a visual, and personal story that can be treasured for many years to come.
Eventually, I chose to buy my own camera and start my own business.
