Stevenson College Counseling

For over twenty-five years, I’ve been a counselor, educator, and writer of both fiction and non-fiction. I studied Philosophy at Trinity University (B.A.) and English Education at the University of Tennessee, and went on to build and lead a college counseling program at an elite college-preparatory high school. I’ve taught AP English and guided many students through drafting, revising, and polishing their college essays. Later, I launched my own one-person college counseling and writing business, serving a wide range of students with personalized support. I know how intimidating college applications and essays can feel. My approach is attentive, knowledgeable, and empathetic, helping students clarify their ideas, find their voice, and present their best selves.
