FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Yes. In most cases man hours and material. However, I have found the customer usually has what is needed provided by the big box stores. In this case we quote only for time. Pricing fluctuates with the project.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to speak with the customer. Maybe schedule a sit down. I'm a hands on type of guy, I like to touch what I'm working with and inspect every aspect. I'll then go to the office come up with a formal, detailed, quote and email. If the price is within their budget and they choose me for the project, I then schedule a time that works for them.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Straight out of Socastee High School I went to work for a builder along the Grand Strand. We built homes for Centex, DR Horton, Flagship, and many custom home builders. I spent 15 years building along the Grand Strand. Now, working for myself and continuing my education with AHIT (American Home Inspectors Training Institute).
