When I come to any event, the audience is usually amazed by my setup of equipment. When I start to play, not only do they hear and blend of top choice hits but also they hear things they may have never heard but would love to know what it is! I ensure that everyone from the age of 2 until the age of at least 80 will enjoy the music choices provided. Now many times you will hear me on the mic but if you pay close attention to the music I am actually playing, it tells the story of who I am, where I'm from and what created my whole personality. Fun Fact: I don't practice much nor do I EVER know what I am going to play. What influences my song choice, blends or sound effects are from seeing that first person shake their head, someone screaming because that’s “their song”, or that person on the wall who gets off it to twerk a little. When I didn't have to make folders (crates) to create dope sounds or blend anymore I knew this was something I truly enjoyed doing.

DJ SCrib helped us plan the music for our wedding for 3 months in advance, but our planning started at least 8 months before that special day. James is an outstanding professional performer not just a DJ. He did a great job at my wedding. He offered several playlists from the bride's entrance to the father daughter dance and everything in between. He had a great selection of music for those who wanted to request a song. I was very impressed by his punctuality and his ability to read the crowd and set the mood. James played quality music for at least 6 full hours. Great job and I could not have asked for a better person to do this job.

DJ SCrib and I recently worked together to develop his website, but we go wayyyy back! I remember in college, if DJ SCrib was on the 1s and 2s, we KNEW the event was going to be great! There were countless times when my organization booked him for our events because he is just so professional and SO TALENTED!! This guy knows his music and it's clear he loves what he does! Forever my favorite DJ. Hands down!!

By far one of the most underrated DJs of South Carolina. The fact that he's young and holding down the whole Lowcountry means alot. My experiences I've noticed that he's always on time, that's a very good gesture to have. Very into the crowd. Overall great

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Please email first, I will then set a time and date to meet for discussion of the contract. Fill out contract provided and return to me. Take a small deposit until event. Gather the rest of the money later.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Graduated from the College of Charleston, middle grades education Training wise I had my own radio show on Cistern Yard Radio DJing since the age of 18. Currently have my own local radio show titled, Time TNL/DoWork Media
How did you get started doing this type of work?
One Christmas morning I was watching some DJs on VH1 and I was like "I love music and think DJs are pretty cool!" So I got onto my laptop and downloaded a program called Virtual DJ. Started with just buttons on a laptop and made my way to purchasing turntables and speakers! Then I knew what I loved to do from that very day!
