My yard suffered from several issues but most severe was a drainage issue. Mr. Jordan came out and gave me options including a drain system, raised planters, and new sod where the area had turned into a mud pit because of the water. He came out when he said he would and was extremely professional. His company did a amazing job. I hadn't even considered the planters but I'm sure glad I did it. Wow. Absolutely gorgous. Now I'm considering doing the front yard with sod because of how good the back yard looks now. I would highly recommend these guys and I do.

I hired PGT to help me with backyard drainage and landscaping issues. Michael Jordon is a pleasant person, a likeable guy. I am pretty much satisfied with the job he did on the French drain and hill (Installation of plants and railroad timbers). The major problem I had is with the sod job. The sod itself didn't look all that great to me when it was delivered. After it was laid and I got to looking at it I saw many gaps and overlays. And it had not been rolled. In my opinion it looked terrible. Michael later explained that this is how he does it and felt that it was done properly. But my research indicated there should be no gaps and overlays. And rolling is strongly recommended. I admit that Michael was not given the opportunity to come out and correct this. I did attempt to contact him via e-mail. But I'm not sure he would have agreed to re-do it if he felt that it was done properly to begin with. I spent additional money to hire another contractor to re-lay the sod and it looks much better.
Since the job has been completed, I have learned a great deal as you well know from my BBB complaint. You were hired to install a French drain. A true French drain WAS NOT installed! What you installed was just a straight drain that does function but probably not as well as it should. And the drain you installed above the railroad ties is completely useless. It does nothing to help with the runoff. The other landscapers I have had look at it have laughed and scratched their heads wondering what you were thinking when you did this. I believe that it was my easy going attitude and my lack of knowledge that has gotten me where I am now. I guess I should have known what to expect the moment I heard Michael tell the other workers to hurry up, that he had a ballgame to coach. You can get all the great reviews you want but you will still have to live with the fact that you did not do the right thing here. I believe I was taken advantage of and the shame of it is I allowed to happen. This going to catch up with you sooner or later.

Sod installation is done a little differently from one company to another but I can assure you we have had great success with our installations practices and pleasing our customers. Our goal is to please our customers, if given the chance, we would always do what we have to do to please our customers, even if that means changing the practices to ensure 100% customer satisfaction.
