Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: The work I do for my clients is not complete until both of us are satisfied with it. I enjoy tiling because I can be creative. It's so rewarding to take a boring room and make it extraordinary. The difference between The Tile Man and the others is my focus on details and precision.

David was extremely easy to work with. He was very thorough in explaining exactly what he was doing and why throughout the project, and offered multiple options with pros/cons when we ran into unexpected obstacles. I am very happy with his work, and would highly recommend him to anyone in need of tile work.

Details: Kitchen • Backsplash • 25 - 50 sq ft • Yes, laminate, vinyl, or linoleum needs to be removed • Ceramic • Yes, I already have the tiles

The tile looks great! Dave did a great job! He gave us a quote and there were no extra costs. The only constructive criticism I’d give would be to communicate with the clients a little bit more. This one our first tiling project and we were unfamiliar with the installation or the design. We were presently surprised to see the final product. We would hire The Tile Man again and are already dropping his name to friends and family. Thank you very much Dave!

Details: Kitchen • Backsplash • 25 - 50 sq ft • No existing material (e.g., tile, carpet) needs to be removed • Drywall • No, I need the professional to buy the tiles for me

We hired David, The Tile Man, to complete our kitchen back splash. He was prompt, courteous and professional. He set up his saws and tools in our garage. He installed the tile one day and came back the next day to grout. There was a lot of cutting and trimming necessary with the tile we chose. He checked and double-checked his cuts before gluing the tile to the wall. He explained how to clean and maintain the tile for years to come. He left our kitchen and garage neat and clean. The finished back splash is beautiful. I would recommend David for any tiling job.

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Each project needs to be evaluated individually. Some are fairly obvious and can be easily quoted without much more than a brief conversation with the home owner. Other project need to be inspected personally to determine the scope and extent of the work involved.

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

Many years ago I did some tile projects in my home. It was then that I realized how much I loved tiling. I've done other remodeling projects for myself and friends and I always enjoy the tile projects the most. That's why I only do tile work professionally because I only want to do the fun stuff.

  • Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

I always enjoy creating a beautiful thing out of something that was once boring. The more I am challenged by the planning process, the more I enjoy the project.
