FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I studied electrical engineering in college and spent 6 years in the United States Marine Corps. I am a master electrician and hold a SC electrical contractors license.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
The new wave is LED lighting. It has been around for years now but was so expensive that it was not really something most of us would call cost effective. Over the last year or so the technology has improved, a the price has come down making it now a viable solution for cutting your electrical energy costs. Power companies are now offering incentives in the form of rebates for businesses making it practical for these changes. A job we are involved in now is a warehouse with 150 light fixtures. The cost for the complete project is $25000.00. Energy rebates are $9000.00. The savings on their power bill is around $2000.00 per month leaving a 100% payback in less than a year. After that the $2000.00 a month savings can now be used for other things.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
CHECK PROFILES FOR VERIFIED "electrical contractors" LICENSE. NOT A CONTRACTORS OR BUSINESS LISCENSE BUT AN ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR.. Electricity can kill ! if not properly protected from faulty service and installations you are putting yourself at risk. Check yourself for certifications and licenses. Ask if your contractor is insured... You take charge of your own safety.
