FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
You name and your phone number are most important. We live in an age of communications, and agreeing to work for you, or at minimum coming to your home to estimate your job, involves the ability to connect, so that I get there when I've promised, and you are not left hanging. I offer credential when necessary. I want everything to be understood up front, so that professional trust can be established immediately.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Full four year apprenticeship at a State sponsored night school in the 60s, culminating in the issuing of a Journeyman's Certerificate. This was followed by further studying and testing for a Master's License in the mid 70s, issued by the City of Columbia. As jurisdictions changed it became necessary to sit for another Master's Test only a few years ago (2016) in order to be State Licensed, which I currently hold.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
The old fashioned way, by my dad, who was an electrician before me. He trained me as much as he could, and it was he who got me enrolled in the Vermont State Apprenticeship Program in the 60s.
