- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing involves measurements and production rate or time it takes to do a particular area or task. For example, the average time to repaint an interior door the same color is 30 min. All the times are added up and multiplied by the hourly $ rate to cover overhead, labor, materials, other fixed cost and pay me something for all the time put in.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I read a lot of painting contractor publications and blogs. I have taken three Faux finishing classes.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
As a kid I always liked artwork and painting pictures. I started painting when I was in High School and naturally gravitated back to it later.
