What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge per visit, per animal for pets and per day for housesitting. I have a list of fees that I can email you that explains this simply. I charge for travel ONLY for pet sitting if you live more than 25 miles from me at the rate of .35 a mile. For house cleaning- I rate this on a per job basis depending on what is needed and my time.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I am currently attending nursing school and am an older "second career' student. This is something I have done in the past for several years and it is something I enjoy that supplements my studies.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
I always meet a client ahead of time to make sure that they are comfortable with me and that the expectations are clear. Also- make sure that they have contactable references! I never mind giving references.
