Our 1994 home was in desperate need of updating. I was so overwhelmed, I had no idea where to start. After reading Dawn's reviews, I decided to give her a call. By the end of her initial appointment, we had decided on paint colors for our kitchen, cabinets, breakfast room, living room, foyer, upstairs hallway and master suite; discussed specific ideas for light fixtures throughout the house; discussed options for new flooring in our downstairs living areas; and gone over specific ideas for new living room furniture. We hired a painter whom Dawn recommended, and he did a fantastic job. I asked Dawn to go shopping with me, and after just a few short hours, we had selected all new living room furniture and several light fixtures (which was an amazing feat, since I'm usually a very indecisive shopper!). Dawn never wasted time and was always very mindful of our budget. She came up with quick, inexpensive ideas for each room that had immediate impact. She even made beautiful custom pillows that added the perfect touch! She literally transformed our outdated house into a beautiful sanctuary that I'm proud to call my home! We couldn't be happier with the results. Our friends and neighbors love it - they can't believe the difference! Thank you, Dawn! We never could have achieved this without your patient, always understanding guidance! You're an absolutely incredible designer and person!!!

I was privileged to work with someone so gifted, intuitive, and talented in her field. Dawn D. Totty is by far, the best of the best. I really don't know how she does what she does- it's like magic! She can work with any style, give a one room mini makeover or an entire home redo, whatever you need; her versatility makes her an exceptional designer. Your opinion and personal style matters as much to Dawn as it does to you, so never fear that you'll end up with something that doesnt reflect who YOU are! And you will never find anyone who uses time more efficiently than she, nor anyone who works harder!!!

Hourly and flat rates are available, pending of project size.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The specifics are identified and an appointment is scheduled for the designer to meet for a very thorough up to three hours consultation covering every detail such as color scheme, furniture selection, furniture placement, art work, flooring, window treatments, cabinetry, light fixtures, bedding, staging, floor planning etc...
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I attend events in Nashville, Chattanooga, Atlanta and N.Y to stay ahead of up and coming design trends as well as traveling and designing across the U.S.
