Introduction: Music, voice and acting lessons are by Susan Manning --experienced in all styles of vocal music, music theory and theater. Vocal lessons available are the following: * Classical This style will focus on "the classics" (English or foreign language) as well as help prepare for Arts School auditions which require selections from Classical repertoire. * Pop/Country This style will focus on current and/or past repertoire of both or a combination of country and pop music. It will also help prepare for music auditions and talent shows. * Broadway/Theater This style will focus on any Broadway-style songs. It will concentrate heavily on breathing and voice control. It will also help prepare for live theater auditions. Policies, schedule, and fees: At the present time, students will only be offered per lesson fees for each month. Students may pay lesson fees at the time of their scheduled lesson. Fees are $35 for one hour and $20 for a half hour. Hours of studio are Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 3:30 p.m. until 6 p.m. The minimum amount of lessons a student may take will be one month (for example, every Tuesday in the month of February at 4:30 pm, if available.) Students must be currently 13 years or older for voice lessons. All lessons will be given at the Center for the Arts. Attendance is required unless 24 hour notice is given for cancellation. A "makeup" lesson will be attempted prior to the next scheduled lesson. After 2 cancellations in a row, a student may be dropped from the schedule. If a cancellation is made less than 24 hours in advance, a makeup lesson will not be provided. Exception: Students are allowed to miss a lesson because of an illness but must provide a doctors note. If lessons are canceled by the studio because of weather, then we will attempt to schedule a makeup lesson. If students cancel due to weather, makeup lessons are not guaranteed. If you do not show up to your lesson on time, a reminder phone call will not be made. A makeup lesson will not be made available and your lesson will not be given (unless there is ample time to complete your lesson without disruption of regularly scheduled lessons). Each student is required to practice for a minimum of 45 minutes per day. A recital will be scheduled for students who would like to perform but it is not required. A monthly schedule for the studio will be provided at the end of the prior month. Students are required to purchase their own sheet music, music books, scripts, etc.
