People reading reviews are still searching for the best option that suits them. We just completed our wedding and got our final photos back from Spanglish Studios, so let me share my best photography wedding advice as a newlywed.
A photographer is so much more than just a person to take photos. If you haven't been married before, you might not have ever realized that this is the one person who is with you the entire day... on your most important and special day. You have to LIKE them! (don't take that advice lightly)
A photographer needs to take great photos ...duh. This is the the bare minimum. Once you find that - then personality is really what you should be your deciding factor on who to book with. You need a photographer who 'gets you', someone who isnt pushy, someone who operates at your speed and who understands what you're looking for.
Diane of Spanglish Studios is all of the above. I wont even bother saying much about the photos - they are excellent, we are very happy with them - a photographer's portfolio should stand on its own without comment - check out her work and you'll agree. By the way, I'm a hobby photographer and am pretty picky and critical of photography. I actually booked Diane because she shot the wedding of our engagement photographer.... so she's a photographer's photographer - really doesnt get better than that. As for everything else - she understood us right from the start, she got our vibe, and matched it.
I think all couples will tell you, wedding days are stressful. We happened to have a bunch of really disruptive problems with our catering venue. During those moments, Diane was our biggest support. She could see and feel our stress, she offered to grab a drink for us, offered supporting words and advice, knew when to give us some space, and offered to help in any way she could. This isn't just a professional, but a kind and compassionate person who is what you'll hope to have on your side on that day. She's got a great personality, great sense of humor and a big smile all day.
Her prices were fair, she is honest and upfront and reliable, she showed up early and before she left she asked if there was anything she missed. She traveled way out of state to shoot our wedding and her travel fee was very reasonable. I wont get into the details but Diane was very generous (like too generous) in offering to make us feel better about some of the lost time during the wedding that was caused by the caterer's issues. You will often feel like many vendors don't have your back and are just trying to get deeper in your pockets on your big day, but this is not Diane.
If you can't figure it out from the above, I highly recommend Spanglish Studios and I'm confident you'll be pleased with having her capture YOUR day.

Diane was amazing! Her talent speaks for itself in the final product, but what you don’t see is how effortless she is with kids (and adults). She knows how to help you get the best natural smiles, and she totally gets kids’ energy levels and short attention span. We were so impressed and really felt like we upped our family photo game by hiring her to do our Christmas pics. 😍

Spanglish Studios is a professional photography company that feels like family! We were so impressed with our family photo shoot which also included our dog! Candid photos were captured and we received our photos quickly in time to create Christmas cards! You will not be disappointed with Spanglish Studios for your photography needs!
