FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge by the hour. I am vindicated by how difficult and consuming the project becomes. I purchase the products needed and hand the receipt to my client. I ask for the materials to be covered up front, and pay for the work to be paid upon delivery. I also give edits and touch-ups to the customer after they have seen their art for a few months.(More geese on the water. How about a turtle on that stump?)
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I use graphic art programs to shape, setup and retouch photos. With software upgrades constantly happening, I have a steep learning curve to stay abreast of new techniques. Also art products continually flow into the marketplace. I like to test new stuff.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was taught at a young age. My father was an illustrator. It is a hobby that netted me commissions from high school till now. I now have more time to pursue this passion with allof my resources.
