Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I spent 5 years consulting with a large, multi-programmatic child welfare agency in London, Ontario, Canada to help them reduce the amount of intrusive measures - restraints, seclusions, and PRN medications. The adopted an international training curriculum that I suggested to them and I also developed a training curriculum fro their staff to help them meet their goals. They have reduced intrusive measure by more than 50% and have changed their cultural mindset about the use of these measures.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Make sure the provider understands the day-to-day demands of work you and your staff do and can provide realistic solutions through training and consultation.
