Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: We ask a lot from our board and train dogs, but they never seem to mind. We work hard to make them feel like one of the family. We have a 1/2 acre securely fenced back yard for the dogs to play in. We take regular outings to parks, friends’ farms, and different retail establishments. If the weather’s bad, we do play groups at our training facility just down the street. There’s almost always someone here. It’s even pretty common for one of us to sleep in the guest bedroom with an anxious dog on their first night or two to help ease their transition. How does it work? We start with an initial in-home consultation to evaluate your dog’s behavior, determine your priorities, and design your custom training plan. Your dog then comes to stay with us for whatever period your goals require. We follow up training with private lessons in your home to teach you how to maintain good behavior. Seeing the joy in the dogs when they know they are doing the right thing! The animals really want to be a harmonious part of your family because all they want is to spend more time near you, and only pets who can be trusted get that kind of freedom to be in the home.

I have seen first hand the transformation that Kelly has made in the behavior of multiple dogs. I have wanted to adopt more than one dog that she fostered and trained, and my sister actually did! When we are ready to get a dog, we will absolutely use Pack Leader Prep School!

FAQs

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Let the person you want to hire meet your dog first in your home. Take a moment to see how the two interact with one another. Also, be leery of a company that is a "big kennel" company. Chances are your dog is not going to get the time you paid for, and is going to do nothing but sit in a kennel for the majority of the boarding session. This will lead to boredom and anxiety, and likely additional behavior problems.
