FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing is simple! At BackBeat Sound you pay one flat rate per song, so you know exactly how much it will cost. Others studio's charge by the hour, we make it simple with flat rate pricing. View all of our rates for packages, individual services, and non-audio services on our website under the Rates tab.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Most of my work is done with singer-songwriter type artists. This usually means they've written a song that they play on a single instrument (generally piano or acoustic guitar), and sing. Clients come in looking for a "fully produced" version of their song, with drums, bass, guitars, keys, background vocals, etc., ready to release to radio in their given genre. I work with the artist to develop a vision for their song, and execute it accordingly. Typically, I handle all recording, mixing, producing, and mastering of the song, to have the final result bring out the full potential in the individual's song and takes it to a new level that they never could have accomplished with just a single instrument. I also work with artists that have had their songs recorded and mixed at another studio and are looking for a high quality Mastering service. Mastering takes the final song mix and brings it to final industry standards making it radio ready for the artist.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor of Arts degree from Greenville College where I studied music, music business, and audio engineering among other fields. I have been producing music for over 15 years and have worked on more song and projects than I can even count.
