DO NOT HIRE. Rob Blair and his so called crew are the most unprofessional painters I have ever worked with. There was no organization or leadership at all. We kept getting story after story about why things were not going as planned. The house was suppose to have been finished 6/10/16. As of today 6/17/16 the house is not finished. Rob text me and said the house would be finished at 3:30 today. We get to the house and it's not finished and the their mess had not been cleaned up. There was paint in the kitchen sink even after we ask them not to wash their brushes and buckets in the sink. Rob lies and is no way a progressional. He said,"he ran out of the main paint color and would have to hock his tools to buy paint." "Then he tells us he is leaving for summer camp with the Army tomorrow and couldn't finish painting." The painting that was done was terrible. We had had it and fired him today. We made a big mistake hiring this person. DO NOT HIRE THIS PESON TO DO ANY PAINTING OR WORK AT YOUR HOUSE!!

Rob Blair has no professionalism nor courteous manner when he promises that your project will be performed. My husband and I thoroughly viewed his profile on Thumbtack and he promised (in person) that he has the expertise to transform our backyard and build a custom deck with composite materials to our specifications. He would schedule times that he definitely was going to be able to perform the work with his three other men he hired but failed to even show up without any phone calls describing why the project was not progressing as promised. He blamed the city inspector for the delay in his work, stating the delay was their fault, which was not the case when we called the city planning commission. Due to lie after lie, we had to make the decision to fire Mr. Blair. Mr. Blair made excuse after excuse about why the project was delayed. We had to ask him and his crew to use materials and clean up afterwards, after he has left our deck project in shambles. He would not come and remove the composite decking material and lumber when it was delivered, and this material sat in our driveway untouched for one month, despite our phone calls, texts, and requests that he deliver what he promised at the start of the project. I personally had a lengthy conversation with Mr. Blair after so many instances when he scheduled the work on particular days and would not show up, and even after he agreed that he had cleared time into his schedule for an entire week, and would finish the project in that week (every single day) until we were happy with the overall deck construction. I feel that no other consumer should have to got through this with any home addition project. It is such a shame that crooks such as Mr. Blair are out there, who promise what they think the customer will believe and never deliver, while taking money without delivering the services. He demands money for work not performed and then he takes the money without a blink of an eye. NEVER EVER hire Mr. Rob Blair with Done Right for your home project. My husband and I have been taken advantage of and have given Mr. Blair money for materials that did not equal the price he originally quoted. He still owes us money without providing receipts as requested. We are taking the time to write this post specifically so no other customer will have the same terrible experience we have had for a project we were so excited about, and we now have a terrible mess. Thumbtack should highly scrutinize his business practices so others won't be scammed.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
There is such a broad range in size of projects that it is hard to generate a price list. *We do not mark up materials and the customer pays for them the same as we do. Most labor is lower than the average then we subtract 10%. Additional discounts are added to the labor for any customer who needs multiple tasks completed, military and senior.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically we come to see the work area and discuss the scope of work. Some options may be presented if the customer would like to hear some. After, we generate a very accurate estimate. Once the customer wants to go ahead with the plan we collect a payment for materials only. After the work is complete the customer will get a walk-through. We do not collect final payment (for labor and expendable supplies) until a customer is 100% satisfied with each phase of the project (or all of the wok for very small projects).
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes. Forever seeking new ideas or better ways to improve styles and work techniques through reading and watching field related articles and videos. Also, I am currently back in college working on upgrading my degree to a BS in engineering at APSU.
