Introduction: Monica is an active performer and teacher. She is one of the few who won a full scholarship to University of Maryland, College Park in Creative and Performing Arts. There, she graduated cum laude with a degree in Music Performance (B.A. - voice and piano). She then went on to perform in NYC as well as earn her Masters of Music in Vocal Performance. She has been teaching piano and voice for over 15 years.
What do I love about my job? I love seeing audiences for whom I perform enjoy a range of emotions from intense sadness to utter joy and laughter. When a student learns how to demonstrate these emotions though singing, performing a piano piece, or acting, it is tremendously satisfying..for both them and me!

Monica taught my son piano for 4 years. She was able to connect with him and his personality to teach him not only piano but also the importance of patience when practicing and realizing it doesn't always come easily but being persistent in practice is what makes a great pianist.
