Emily was kind, professional and all around wonderful! My trial was included in my package and she took her time to talk me through what she was doing and made sure that I was comfortable and confident. She didn't rush me or make me feel as if I couldn't ask her to change or do something different. On my wedding day she got to my house before start time and was set up ready to go early which was so nice as a bride you don't want to have any worries! She was very professional and a joy to have as a part of my wedding day. She did my make up, my mom's and my two maids of honor. We all looked natural but glamorous. The make up did not feel heavy and lasted for hours on all of us. She even gave us touch up baggies. I would definitely recommend her for any formal event. Thanks Emily!!!

Emily is an absolute dream, and she brought my bridal look from Pinterest pins to reality! From booking to the day-of, Emily provided speedy, detailed communication, easy of scheduling, and flexibility beyond words. Emily provided make-up for myself, the mother of the bride, the mother in law, and 3 of my 4 bridesmaids without even breaking a sweat!
In particular, Emily excelled at listening to each of us and delivering flawless looks that matched exactly what we each had imagined--even across diverse clientele in terms of skin color, types, and age. Emily ensured my bridal look was exactly what I wanted: a wintry, magical goddess. Emily made sure we got to exactly the right final look by offering a make-up trial as well as bridal portraits ahead of the big day to get everything *just* right!
Emily also kept her cool when the second artist scheduled for the wedding day backed out in less than 24 hours notice. Emily communicated promptly to develop a back-up plan, to accommodate everyone ahead of the wedding, and to still deliver flawless make-up. Finally, Emily made a custom lip color for my ceremony that I now get to use forever!
I truly, truly cannot recommend Emily highly enough for your make-up needs!

Emily was absolutely incredible from start to finish of engaging her. She is so quick to respond which helped set me at ease from the very beginning. I don't wear makeup every day and knew I needed someone to help me feel beautiful for the pictures for my special day. She listened to everything I wanted and gave me the perfect result. She also did make up for both mothers' of the bride and they were also pleased with how detailed, thorough, and patient Emily was. What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to lay out all the details (and info) about the services we provide right on the table!! Immediately following an inquiry, I kindly request a bride’s email, so I can send them all of our detailed pricing, contract to look over, and no obligation Bridal Questionnaire to fill out. That way, I can get to know the bride and her needs better, and she can get to know Love n’ Glow. :) Once the bridal questionnaire is filled out, the next step would be to schedule a trial makeup through Emily. This is scheduled, and is done on location or at Emily's home! All the details of the bride’s dream makeup can be customized to perfection through the trial session.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I went to school for Esthetology (skincare and makeup) almost 11 years ago, and discovered how much I love helping people look and feel beautiful.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
As far as weddings go, pinterest and Instagram are great tools to search for bridal makeup tips and looks that you might be interested in!! Also, when you know your budget and how many bridesmaids, it will be easier to find a makeup artist who is within a similar price range.
