- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My prices are pretty straightforward. I only add a travel fee for distances outside Knoxville and Anderson County. I do require a retainer fee to hold the date but that comes out of the total fee for the session and isn’t an added fee.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I typically have a consult call or zoom meeting where we discuss logistics, locations, outfit choices, and what the customer wants to get from their session. Since my style is documentary in nature, I try to get to know them a little so we can determine the best locations to best reflect their story and personality.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I always had a camera in my hand taking photos of family and friends. It’s just something I’ve always loved doing and over the years I developed more skill and decided to expand into paid work.
