FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
All prices are just as shown and there are never any fees 'tacked on' that you won't know about. If an adjustment needs to made from the initial quote we you receive, (for example, a travel fee) I'll be sure and talk about it with you at the start. Also, the time it takes to set up and tear equipment is always covered by me. Meaning, when you book a 5 hour package, that's 5 hours of service. :)
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Working together is super simple: 1. you sign a one-page Service Agreement and pay a retainer. 2. complete the Shift Music Event Info Form. 3. we talk through the details on the phone the week before the event. 4. We have a stellar event!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I don't know of any other DJs that have this, but I actually have an AA Degree in Music. I've also been professionally trained as a DJ by Mike Staff Productions in Chicago. Both my studies and training have helped know what music works on the dance floor and how to lead clients through the preparation / planning process leading up to the event.
