I heard about Homestead Hardscapes from a family member. Knowing beforehand it was a smaller company, my wife and I were not sure what to expect until owner Jake arrived for an estimate. He was very professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. Even still, I never expected quality of work to be what it was once the project started. There were several times throughout the week of our flooring project that we noticed items addressed by HH that were not included in our initial estimate, thus going above and beyond our expectations. The finished product was nothing short of beautiful. Since the first job, we have already hired Homestead to redo our walk in closet, as well as install custom features on our deck. We will never talk to another contractor before first speaking with this company. They can be trusted to do the work promised, and beyond.

My wife and I recently contracted Jake to build two walkways in the front and side of our house. The work completed was fantastic, and we couldn't be happier with the result! Jake was professional, courteous and completed the work in the time period he originally quoted. He was very helpful in finalizing a design and choosing materials, and was thorough enough to research other materials options. Jake was very transparent regarding our ideal materials, mainly that they would increase the price drastically and worked with us to find a suitable alternative to fit within our budget for the project. Jake and his team made quick and thorough work of the project, from start to finish. It's been nearly a month since the walkways were finished, and everything still looks as neat and tidy as it did the day it was finished. The walkways added loads of curb appeal to our house while also serving a much needed function of keeping us from trudging through the mud every day, and I expect it will still look brand new for years to come! I would gladly recommend Jake to work with on your projects as he was extremely helpful, responsive, and began and finished work when he said he would. If you've worked with other contractors you know how valuable that is! All said and done, we have a few other projects that we have already received quotes from Jake and will hopefully be working again with him soon to complete them.

We could not have picked a better contractor for our outdoor projects! Jake did an exceptional job with our retaining wall, patio extension, and garage door walkway. Not only does he do precise work, but he does so with integrity & courtesy to our property/neighbors. His work ethic is the best I've seen - always showing up for the job and not leaving until he is happy with the progress. As homeowners, we appreciated his spot-on communication by keeping us updated on the timeline and involved in the whole construction process. Considering the amount of work we asked him to do, Jake was in-and-out in a month's time despite all the rain (it literally rained for a week straight).We can't express how impressed we were with his professionalism, honesty, and exceptional work! Thanks Jake - we can finally enjoy our backyard!

I am writing this review from my brand new patio. I would give Homestead Hardscapes 10 stars if I could! Jake was a pleasure to work with. From beginning to end he was communicative, respected our budget, and delivered an unbelievable final product. The patio and pergola came out even better than we imagined! I would absolutely not hesitate to work with him again. Anytime I texted him, he called back to talk through my question. If he encountered anything odd, he called immediately. He worked with our schedule to make sure we had a patio to celebrate our son's first birthday on. His team of workers were also incredibly nice and delivered an impeccable final product. If anyone in ear shot mentions they are thinking about a patio, I will 100% jump in to recommend HH.

Jacob worked with us this past fall to create a walkway through our backyard. We have dogs and from their persistent running, they created muddied paths through the yard that were impossible to regrow grass on. Jacob worked with our budget and spent so much time in trying to figure out what would work best. In the end, my husband and I did a little prep work to save on labor and Jacob installed a slated path. It's beautiful, practical, and met all of our expectations! We have several prospective projects and he will most definitely be the person we call. Thanks Jacob!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I do my very best to be as fair and competitive as possible with respect to the value of my craft when giving a quote.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to initiate contact with a good thorough phone call to introduce myself and my company and understand their wants/needs. Then, after exchanging information about my company and receiving location information from them, I look to have an on-site consultation so I can accurately provide a thorough quote for the client. Lastly, I try to do whatever I can possible to see to it that I am able to earn the client’s business!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have over 16 years working in various areas of the construction field. I have been educated in a contractors residential/commercial training course, have obtained several machine loader trainings/licenses, and have completed three summer construction management internships at Mission of Hope, Haiti.
