For us, installing flooring is not a job. It's a craft. Jared is one of Nashville's few NWFA certified installers; he has also earned certifications from Certified Floorcovering Installers, Armstrong Flooring, and the North American Laminate Floorcovering Association. Valuable mentorships and continuing education through NWFA workshops have advanced Jared's skills and knowledge exponentially, allowing us to offer our customers services from basic hardwood repairs to high-end custom designs.
We also work hard to stay abreast of the latest products, trends, and developments within the flooring industry, such as hard wax finishes. Southern Oaks Flooring specializes in flooring installation, so we do not sell or receive financial incentives for promoting any type of product. However, we are familiar with the good, the bad, and the ugly when it comes to materials, finishes, stains, and more. We offer our honest, professional opinions and do all we can to help our customers find the floors that work best for them. Period.

One of the things that impressed us, was Jared's honesty and straightforwardness. We knew nothing about wood floors, however, Jared let us know what and how much material we needed for him to complete our project.
Jared came out to install our laminate floors last week and did an outstanding job! He was always on time, and he even showed up on the day we had the ice storm.
He is really passionate about his work and we are looking forward to using him again.

Worked with Jared to have the downstairs floors redone as well as adding wood flooring and wood stair treads. We did this long distance and Jared kept in touch and communicated well. Also
Jared demonstrated a great eye for detail (we have worked with a floor refinisher in a previous home and Jared was miles ahead in terms of end result and a clean process given the sanding and stain .) We also had a short time frame given movers and Jared and his crew worked long hours to make sure that we could meet the move in schedule. All in all, a good experience and we would recommend.

Jared and his crew showed up on time, worked straight through until the job was done and was very professional. We got a herringbone back splash which is very labor intensive and we could not be more thrilled with the results! We would most definitely hire him again!

I hired Jared to install a glass mosaic kitchen backsplash. He was great at responding to my messages about scheduling, he arrived on time, and he was friendly and professional. It looks great, and I couldn't be happier! Highly recommend him and will use again for future projects.

I am a certified NWFA Installer.
NWFA Certified Professionals have gone above and beyond to earn their certifications. They have undergone testing to earn their credentials and must complete continuing education requirements in order to maintain their certification. (Certification requires at least two years of experience, two hand-written tests, and two hands-on tests.)
In addition to the National Wood Flooring Association, I have also been certified by the International Certified Floorcovering Installers, Armstrong Flooring, and the North American Laminate Flooring Association.
