Jen Starsinic

Introduction: I am a Berklee College of Music graduate, with seven years of teaching experience and 10 years of performance experience, including national touring. I am currently accepting fiddle/violin and piano students of all ages. I specialize in and have an extensive performance resume in old-time, bluegrass, and rock fiddling, especially/including improvisation, chopping/rhythmic backup playing, lead sheet reading, etc., and I also have a lot of experience in teaching basic skills, techniques, music theories, music reading as well as more advanced classical playing. I teach lessons in my music studio at my home in Donelson, or I can travel to you. I take great pride in identifying a student's individual goals and learning style and finding a way to not only impart skills and knowledge, but connect them to their instrument and to music in a way that feels natural and authentic to them.
