Kisses Happen is a personalized pet sitting, and dog walking service. When you hire us, we don't run in, take your dog out for a quick potty break; feed your cat, scoop the litter box and call it a day. We spend the necessary time that your dog or cat needs with perceptive human interaction. That's why we don't offer 15-minute potty breaks, or every other day cat sits. Anyone can do that.
We have found that dogs and cats are a lot like young children. They need assurances that their needs will be met. They also need the same love and attention that they usually get from mommy and daddy but can't because they're not home. We're that kind of service. We really believe the importance on what we do.
Not only do we love pets, we're skilled at working with large breed dogs and pets with special needs. We're one of the few pet sitting services in Nashville that take into account the physical, and mental needs of your pet. If a pet owner has a problem or question, we go to great lengths to find the answer because we want to enhance the overall life quality of your dog or cat.

I hired Janet to care for our cat, Maggie., while we were out of town 2/12 - 2/19, 2017. Janet came to the house for a meet & greet. I was able to tell immediately that Janet is extremely knowledgeable about cats & has a special gift for interacting with them. I felt very comfortable turning Maggie's care over to Janet. I also liked the fact that caring for pets is Janet's business & she runs it in a professional manner. Maggie is a picky eater & doesn't warm up to strangers very easily. Janet went above & beyond to make friends with Maggie, which led to Maggie eating well while Janet cared for her. Most importantly, Maggie was very happy & content upon our return. (The house was also completely clean & in order)! We enjoyed her thorough updates & photos sent via text message following every visit. Janet has the magic touch with animals & finding her service has been a god-send. I wouldn't consider using any other pet sitting service except Kisses Happen.

Although, she has not had to catsit for us, we have spoken on the phone several times, and have actually gotten to know her during several long telephone conversations. We get along great, and we a shared cat care philosophy. My husband I are frequently out of the country, and we need a professional to check on our cats everyday, along with our house sitter and friend who come by to pet and play. We are going to meet in person next week and hire her to cat sit for us for almost 3 weeks in early 2017. We plan to use Kisses Happen from now on!

I price based on the amount of time spent completing the assignment. I also add surcharges to assignments that are further than 7 miles from my location. You can find my price ranges on my website.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
If the customer is interested in working with us, we offer a free meet and greet to learn more about pet(s) and types of services required.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been self-employed since the mid-90's and have had pets my entire life. I have attended multiple training seminars given by licensed veterinarians. I've also conducted independent research on behavior, diet and home remedies to common ailments. I'm a regular volunteer at the Nashville Humane Society. I maintain a close network of pet services professionals in the Nashville area.
