Amelia's Language Lessons

Introduction: I have seven years of experience with instruction of all aspects of English language arts, Latin and writing composition. In teaching, I focus on the key elements of language and composition. These include the significance of contextual evidence, literary/rhetorical device usage, the patterns consistent throughout all languages, interpretation and comprehension of literature and perfecting the stages of the writing process. I particularly emphasize skillful word usage and sentence variation in any written work as well as in rhetoric. In order to teach language structure, I teach the vital critical thinking skills necessary to analyze and interpret languages. Those invaluable problem-solving skills extend far beyond learning the grammar and vocabulary of any language. They reach across the academic curriculum and into the professional world. Guided by my instruction, students reach their academic goals and surpass their own expectations.
