FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have been taking photos and discovering editing techniques for the past 4 years. A couple of years ago, I started giving free photo sessions to friends of mine. It was great to see those photos end up as the focal point of their Christmas cards. A year and a half ago, I took some "fun" photos of my niece. She went to get them printed and the company requested my consent. When my niece told me, I was ecstatic that a huge company thought my work was professional! That was the moment I decided to make this my business.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
The most common sessions are Senior Portraits and Family Portraits.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Make sure you research the photographer's work. I have seen and heard of cases where people have went with one of their friends and didn't get the quality they should have received. I have seen another go with a high priced photographer because they didn't have time to research pricing. I pride myself on excellent quality. I also remain very affordable. The reason my photo session prices are low is because I wanted to gain experience my first year in this business. My prices will be going up April 2012 (which will be my 1 year anniversary) - but I assure you, they will continue to remain competitively low and affordable.
